Israeli airstrikes cause casualties in Hodeida, Yemen

Di: Niccolò Mei

There are “deaths and injuries” in the Israeli airstrikes launched on the port city of Hodeida on the Red Sea, in western Yemen, in response to the drone launched yesterday by the Houthi Shiite militants against Tel Aviv, which resulted in the death of an Israeli citizen. This was reported by the Health Ministry of Yemen led by the Houthi without providing a casualty count.

The raids targeted the port of Hodeidah, as reported by Al-Masirah TV, a television station close to the Yemeni militants. The broadcaster Al Arabiya stated that the raids hit a fuel depot and oil refineries. The operation was reportedly carried out by 12 Israeli aircraft, including F-jet 35. The attack also aimed at the power plant in Ras Khatib, used to generate electricity for the city of Hodeida.
