Euro 2024: Spain’s dominant win over Georgia sets up clash with Germany in quarter-finals
Spain has secured a place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024 with a convincing 4-1 victory over Georgia. The match was characterized by a dominant performance from the Spanish team, with goals scored by Rodri, Fabian Ruiz, Nico Williams, and Dani Olmo.
It all started with an own goal by Le Normand that temporarily put Georgia in the lead in the 18th minute. However, Spain responded promptly and equalized in the 39th minute with a goal from Rodri. The lead was regained in the 51st minute by Ruiz, while Williams started to seal the game with the third goal in the 75th minute. The result was definitively secured with Olmo’s fourth goal in the 83rd minute, solidifying Spain’s victory.
Spain is now gearing up to face Germany in the quarter-finals, after the Germans eliminated Denmark in the previous round. It will be an exciting clash between two top European teams vying for a spot in the semi-finals of Euro 2024.
