Carlo Conti hosts ‘I Migliori Anni’ on Rai1: A Journey Through Music and Memories

Carlo Conti is back in the spotlight as he hosts the highly anticipated return of “I Migliori Anni” on Rai1. This variety show, a flagship of Italian television, produced by the Prime Time Entertainment Directorate of Rai in collaboration with Endemol Shine Italy, will air five unmissable episodes starting from Saturday, April 6th. The show will be broadcast live from the ‘Fabrizio Frizzi’ studios in Rome, starting at 9:25 pm.
“I Migliori Anni” is a unique format that aims to bring back to life the most unforgettable emotions and moments of past decades for the studio audience and viewers at home, reviving characters, songs, objects, and fashions that have never been forgotten.
As usual, guest singers will take the audience on a captivating journey through the history of music, performing famous songs from various decades. In each episode, the artists will be featured in the ‘Jukebox’ segment, showcasing their most memorable hits.
In the first episode, international artists such as the legendary Nile Rodgers, founding member of Chic and producer for music icons like Madonna, Diana Ross, David Bowie, and Daft Punk, will grace the stage. American singer George McCrae and British artist Raymond Burns, known as Captain Sensible, leader of the Damned, will also be featured.
Among the Italian stars, the divine Patty Pravo and Fausto Leali, with their extensive repertoire of hits, will perform. Francesco Gabbani, one of the most beloved artists in recent years, who achieved success in two editions of Sanremo under the direction of Carlo Conti, will also take the stage. Amedeo Minghi, the composer and singer of hits like “La vita mia” and “Vattene amore,” along with Wilma De Angelis and Syria, representing the beautiful voices of Sanremo from the ’60s and ’90s, and author and performer Valeria Rossi will add their magic to the show.
In addition to the music, the show will feature Italian entertainment icons (starting with Carlo Verdone in the first episode) sharing their personal hit parades of characters, songs, and objects through the ‘3 x 3’ format, a unique storytelling experience.
Words will play a significant role, with comedian Maurizio Battista providing humorous insights into past habits and practices that are now considered outdated. Giorgio Mastrota will lead a fun segment showcasing objects from “I Migliori Anni” in a nostalgic and comical light.
The show will also feature a chorus of 30 dancers in period costumes, bringing the hits of various decades to life with their choreography.
A new addition to the format is the ‘Future Box,’ a time capsule containing characters, objects, and records that have shaped 60 years of history and must be preserved for future generations.
The participation of the audience, especially young people, will be crucial. Viewers can interact with the show through messages or social media, sharing memories, images, and videos related to the ‘migliori anni’ (the best years).
