The CEO Maximo Ibarra will close the evening  speaking about artificial intelligence and engaging in dialogue with the avatars of two distinguished guests.

Artificial Intelligence and cutting-edge technologies have reached a level of maturity and composability that allows us to re-imagine the way we relate to the past and how we design our future. This is a radical change that should enhance our humanity and be guided by a necessary sense of responsibility to ensure that the great opportunities for growth and well-being offered by digital technology become a heritage for all.”

With these words, Maximo Ibarra, CEO of Engineering, summarizes the keynote speech he will deliver at 9:00 pm on August 6th during the evening entitled “Minds,” hosted as part of “Rome Philosophies under the Stars,” an event promoted by Roma Capitale taking place at the magnificent setting of the Palatine Stadium (with free admission subject to available seats).

Ibarra will discuss how new technologies not only enhance the effectiveness and precision in making decisions in various strategic fields such as medical and environmental, but also how they enhance our creativity, to the point of allowing us to imagine and realize unprecedented dialogues with the past. Indeed, the exceptional guests are the avatars of two great philosophers of the past, Plato and Confucius, created by combining Generative Artificial Intelligence and Extended Reality, who will respond to questions in line with their philosophical thinking.

The evening “Minds,” which will feature on stage, along with Maximo Ibarra, David Chalmers, professor of philosophy and neural sciences at New York University, and Sofia Bonicalzi, associate professor at the Department of Philosophy, Communication, and Entertainment at the University of Roma Tre, is taking place concurrently with the XXV World Congress of Philosophy – Rome 2024, scheduled until August 8th at the university city of Sapienza University of Rome.

Engineering, a leading company in digitalization processes for businesses and public administration, is participating in the World Congress of Philosophy with a virtual immersive installation hosted in the exhibition spaces adjacent to the Grand Lecture Hall, offering visitors the opportunity to converse and ask questions to the avatars of Plato and Confucius.
